Wow I left this morning and didn't notice though I drive right by it.
It was an eye sore. I wonder if Rand is expanding his parking area or a new building?
Will be parking for Flatiron Building (across the street) which should start renovation soon.
Pete, I thought parking was going to be added to the back (east side)? Is that part of a later development?
Crazy, I saw it just yesterday when I was fueling my motorcycle across the street and wondering when the demo would happen. I guess now I know!
The Flatiron Building will need more parking than is available on their site.
Eventually, they plan to building a parking structure and perhaps more office space.
In the meantime, Rand isn't using the land where Leo's was located, so they are probably leasing out spaces.
From Steve's article.

“The Flatiron district is now a highly desirable place,” Elliott said. “We see extending the pedestrian-friendly area where people shop, dine, live and socialize north to our block. Our team is having a great time envisioning the possibilities for this gateway block into downtown.”
Awesome! I think this will be really cool.
