Not possible. They choose to make that decision while believe the universe works out in a way that they are being taken care of, but still don't have the faith to cross the road without looking. Those who, along with snake handlers, don't last long.

    From the Earth Story

The (former) Great Lakes of the West

During the last glacial maximum, about 21,000 years ago, the arid western part of the USA was full of gigantic lakes that would rival the modern midwestern Great Lakes. In fact, from where I write this right now in Salt Lake City, I would have been over 100 feet underwater. For many years, the cause was linked to climate without much hard evidence.

    From the Earth Story

    Dive into the past

When the government decided to build a hydroelectric dam in 1959 on the Xin An river, the Lion city of Shi Cheng (once the capital of Zhejiang province in China) was buried under the rising waters of lake Quiandao to a depth ranging between 25 and 40 metres. The city is around 2,000 years old, being inaugurated during the Han dynasty (25-200CE),and filled with old buildings, palaces and temples. Ironically, considering the ravages of both the cultural revolution in the 1960's and rampant modernisation related destruction throughout the country, it remains the best preserved ancient city in the country, giving us a glimpse into a past China now vanished upon the land's surface. It is now possible to dive and explore as a tourist. The city has 5 gates with towers, and is the size of 62 football fields.

    Beautiful... from the Earth Story

One of the most famous viewpoints in Yosemite National Park, its granitic mass rises to 2,199 metres on the south wall of the glacial valley offering a view over the a huge swath of the valley. The talus slopes at the bottom contain erratic rocks brought from higher up in the Sierras by the grinding ice. Most of the rock below consists of boulders of the same quartz monzonite that makes up Half Dome, combined with smaller proportions of a second granite and fragments of yellow quartzite and schist from Mt Clarke 12km away. In this stunning photo the plane of our galaxy seems to float above the bare granite domes.

These watches are beautiful, if you several hundred grand lying around.

Think 12 or 24 hour watches are a little short-sighted?

The Midnight Planétarium timepiece tracks the position of the six planets visible from Earth. Each of them are independently controlled for precise tracking at any given time and their true orbital speeds are represented. Aside from keeping you updated on planetary positioning, it also functions as a regular watch with the shooting star indicating the time in hours and minutes.
