How does a tree stay in key for the most part?
Ingenious way he came up with to make the rings to translate to musical notes. Imagine a slice from one of these trees. I am not condoning the act of any form of a natural wonder, but wow would it be a L.P. The world's 10 oldest living trees: General Sherman | MNN - Mother Nature Network

The composer, or the individual who manipulated the tree rings to sound,
had to have decided what sounds, i.e. piano, clarinet, etc..., to use. I would
have liked to have heard non traditional instrumentation. Perhaps samples
of plants growing or wildlife. Maybe birds. Mammals. Aquatic life.
By plants growing, I mean a recording of the sound a plant makes during
growth. No doubt that would be a difficult undertaking but it wouldn't be
an impossible endeavor. Maybe expensive.
I've played several pieces that included recordings of whales. I don't
remember the names of the pieces. They were manipulated by
software and the results were amazing.
