Thread: Fargo II

    Default Fargo II

As one of the top ten Coen Bros Films Fans in the entire universe, and as an appreciator of those old Inspector Morse detective shows on O.E.T.A. and Netflix, I am somewhat ashamed to admit that the FX Version of "Fargo" is the best thing, of its genre, to appear on television, since "Twin Peaks."

Yet . . . should a show involving Billy Bob Thornton . . . the Shyster Lawyer dude from Breaking Bad . . . and a cast of Others, be something of which to be ashamed?

I think not. Especially with The Coen Bros, Themselves, listed as Executive Producers.

    (watch it or not . . . ya shure, yu betcha . . . your choice . . . doncha know . . . =)

Knock off the over-enthusiastic hype, fer cryin' oot loud . . . okay? =)

(if Jeff Bridges doesn't appear in a cameo role by episode ten, I'll be lookin' fer William Macy . . .)

I enjoyed the first ep but thought Martin Freeman was a strange and not very convincing choice to play Lester Nygaard.

I've always liked him, especially in the Brit version of The Office and in more bit parts in Hot Fuzz and World's End.

But here I never thought he got the Minnesota accent quite right and that bothered me throughout.

Have you seen Sherlock? Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch or both perfect in it.

So . . . Is this so-called, "Fargo" remake television viewing deal available on a regular basis or what?
(that's sort of the way folks speak up there on account of they are decedents of Vikings and Indians) =)
