    Default OKC in 5 words

I moved here from a large city on the East coast in the mid 2000s, the first thing that struck me as I stopped at a gas station off the 40 was how nice the people were. It cannot be overstated, just a different breed of people. For those of you that have never lived anywhere else I assure you it is quite striking. But, anyways, I thought it might be fun to summarize the city in 5 words as my initial impressions when I started to live here; Ill go first…

    1) Friendly
    2) Flat
    3) Clean
    4) Hot
    5) Easy-to-live (sorry, I know its not one word)

Only parts of Oklahoma are flat. The NE and SE are hilly and lovely - and I don't just mean just the corners. If you think Oklahoma is flat, you owe it go yourself to spend a few weekends exploring - you won't regret it.

    Warm (as in people)
Resilient (both the land and its people)
Spiritual (and I don't mean just Christian - as a pagan, this place is incredibly rich and alive - just amazing)
Moving (hang on if you want to be a part of it)
Underappreciated (I am going to call that one word)

    The home of my soul.

    1) Friendly (I can't tell you how taken back I was when the door wasn't held for me on my first trip to Florida, my first out of OKlahoma vacation. People are different on the coasts)
    2) Home (No matter how many times I travel out of state, nothing beats the feeling of coming back to OklaHOMEa)
    3) Conservative (Our hearts may always be in the right place, but not our brains sometimes)
    4) Diverse (From the landscape to the people)
    5) Smart (What city can boast in development and be for the most part debt free and recession proof)

Easy - Easy-going people, easy road layout for navigation, easy livin' in general with the low cost of living.
Friendly - 'nuff said in previous posts about this.
Resilient - Through the dust bowl, depression, oil bust, Murrah bombing, May 3rd, '99, Moore '13, etc., we keep dusting ourselves off and getting back up.
Family-oriented (counts as one hyphenated word ) - I understand that OKC can sometimes be a bit boring for single folk but, IMO there's no better place to raise a family.
Home - I wasn't born here, but it's "home" now and is the place I always look forward to returning to when I travel.

Another great list. One-dimensional, but great.
