Now that I've pretty much cut the cable cord and have Roku I've been watching some series. I'm about 3/4 through the first season and it's quite the series. A good gritty drama.

Are you watching the, original, Danish version?
Or the Seattle version? =)
The Seattle one.
It is not time wasted to view it.
(that co-actor in the Seattle version was also in the Danish version)
The lady that wrote the Danish one wrote this one too, I believe.
Obviously a Danish plot to build trans-global bridges of understanding. =)
(part of some sort of nefarious conspiracy)
I agreeI would like to see the Danish one as well. I thought the acting and writing on this one was pretty good. It had me hooked all through season 1.
If you like The Killing, you might want to check out the original--subtitled--versions of Wallender and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Trilogy.
I'll do that, thanks.
I'll have to add this to my watch list.
Do the American & Danish versions have the same story line or are they different enough that its worth watching both?
I'm not sure if they are the same story line or not. I know there are currently 3 seasons of the American version and I'm just about done with season 1. AMC cancelled it after 3 seasons and Netflix has picked it up for another season.
Did Darren Richmond, the city counselor running for mayor, remind anyone else of Ed Shadid? It couldn't have just been me...

Now that you mention it....
Finished season 1 and started on season 2.
