Thread: Urban Wineworks

    Plaza District Urban Wineworks

I cannot find one thread about this place so here we go. I went here on Friday evening during the Plaza District Second Friday of the Month event and its a nice little establishment. Unfortunately, I only snapped a picture of the wine selection menu because its in the name. While I did not take a picture of the food menu (not many items to select from), I will say that what I ate was quite delicious--the sirloin sliders. Mmmmmmmmm, next time I go back I will request a third slider for an even $18. All in all, my pricetag was the (2) sliders and a cup of wine (Cab+ on the menu) for just under $20, but with the tip it was around $25.

I don't know if its because of the night we went but our food was served to us on heavy duty paper plates and our utensils were the plastic wrapped ones with napkin, salt and pepper AND as mentioned above, the food menu was rather light. Now, if you go to urbanspoon:

    http://www.urbanspoon.com/cities/46-...wineworks/menu

It shows full list menus and actual plates with real silverwear. I just think that because of the anticipated business with the event that it was more cost effective to go cheap.

Anyway, like I said, I will be going back here again.

Of note..the place has been open since late 2011 so if there is a thread on this (I used the search feature after looking in Bars & Restaurants as far back as that would go) then please cut and paste this into there.

They have decided to close for a remodel and will reopen in the Fall, supposedly.

Looks like the are closed for good. I heard that the new owner of the strip they are in did NOT renew their lease

Yup that is correct. the lease was not renewed and am told they are going to relocate somewhere else. they are looking at maybe Edmond.
I liked it origionally, the remodel and brunch didn't help them at all. we tried to give them a shot several times and the food was always slow and cold and barely edible. the last time we were there several tables walked out and crossed the street to EMPIRE to eat. maybe they will find a new place and get it together.
