    Lol.

BTW, for a general review... I loved my time spent there. I had the UJ Breakfast Platter--eggs over easy, cheese grits (THA BOMB.COM), bacon and substituted an English muffin for a biscuit. Then after a couple Bloody Mary's, I drank a couple DNRs. Our server, Steph, was very knowledgeable. I will be going again. Hopefully this Saturday evening.

I went over the weekend...I like the setup and layout for a sports watching restaurant, probably the best in downtown for watching s game. Probably not the best for a date if you are easily distracted. I had a theta, which was good with shredded cheddar and all, so I cant say much else about the other food options. I also loved that it had dedicated parking on the interior of the building, which you are given a token after you eat to be able to exit.

To sum it up, This will be the place I will go to in the downtown area when Im wanting normal, good food, a beer, and have sports to watch. I find Louies to be bland and boring so its nice to have a similar but much better concept.

Well, I've bee to UJ 4 times now and feel I have a pretty good handle on the place!

First time was drink only. Nice beer selection and great TV's.

Second...wife and I and 2 guests from Tulsa had drinks and dinner. Had the humus and loved it. I had the Barbacoa tacos and they were good not great. Wife had the pot roast and it was awesome!

number three was an adult/kid adventure! I tried the Philly cheese steak and thought it was a solid sandwich. Other selection by the group were burgers and of course...the pot roast! Everyone ws impressed. This time was the only time we experienced any problem. The pot roast cam about ten minutes after the other meals. They comp'ed us 2 desserts and we were all fine with that!

I finally gave in and tried a burger on our 4th visit (I don't like Johnnie's burgers but I caved!) I had the Steve McQueen. It was a good burger. Not great but significantly better than a burger from the typical Johnnie's.

Easy to say my family and I are sold on UJ's. Nice restaurant with some very solid choices and a great beer selection...and lot's of TV's for sports watching...and that's good for me cause I'm into that!

We enjoy coming to downtown or Deep Deuce from Edmond for dinner and will defintiely be a regular to this place.

I'll be back in on Wednesday. My usually plan has been to just try another burger, but I may have to look into this pot roast I'm hearing about.

I called last Friday and asked if they had NHL center ice or NBA league Pass. after being on hold for a few minutes the manager came back on and just said that "we have everything that is on cox". So I went there and no NBA games were on and no NHL games were on. i didn't ask my waiter because he seemed to be on his first night as a waiter.

I don't get it is this a complaint? You went on a day that a thunder game was on and the NCAA tourney. Of course hockey was not on.

If you want a game to be put on ask. It really is not that hard

I was there Friday night... definitely watched the Thunder game. Oh, and the manager was at our table about 4 times asking how things were. Could have easily had any game on we wanted.

My wife is hot though... maybe that's why we got so much attention. Lol

I think the point is, and correct me if I'm wrong, that a sports bar doesn't have those sports packages. If they don't have League Pass and those other packages, considering they pretty much are a sports bar, then that is a fail. If you're going to have 50 TVs then you should be able to show more than just what's on a normal cable package.

I have no idea what they have but it was quoted that the manager said they have everything that is on Cox and the sports packages are on Cox as an extra. Has anyone said that they don't have the sports packages? All I saw was that they weren't showing what OKCretro preferred.

I would take the "everything on cox" comment to mean they don't have the packages, but I could be wrong. If you had those sports packages that don't come with a normal Cox subscription you'd think they'd just say so.

That is disappointing to hear they have Cox cable. I was looking forward to watching NFL games here and having Cox means they will not have NFL Sunday ticket which is only available to Direct TV. A sports bar without NFL Sunday ticket? That's a mistake.

I'm happy that this is the last season that Direct TV has the contract for NFL Sunday Ticket. I imagine the NFL will offer an online package as well as a package to all different carriers. More money for them.

Be ready to be disappointed. NFL and direct tv are close to an exclusive extension of the contract. It is over a billion a year

yes, the lady seemed very confused like she had never heard of league pass or center ice over the phone. So I assumed that they didn't have them. But I didn't ask while I was there.

Yes I would assume that majority of the TV's should and would show the NCAA games and the thunder pre game on almost all of the tvs, but one of the tvs in front of me had the LPGA on the golf channel. This tv could have been easily changed to a hockey game.

Yes a sports bar needs to have NFL sunday ticket

I guess I missed where this was actually supposed to be a sports bar, any more than say, Republic is.

I really wouldn't label republic a "sports bar" I would call it a "ESPN sports bar" basically a restaurant that shows ESPN on a bunch of tvs majority of the time, and if there is a major sporting event switching to that.

if you go to a bigger city you will see the difference.

I wish it was a sports bar like Republic. Republic has every sports package, their employees are knowledgable about what they carry, and they actually plan out the distribution of games on TVs throughout the restaurant.

But then, as it was mentioned before, it doesn't appear that this is really meant to be a sports bar. It's a restaurant with a bar and a lot of televisions. It doesn't mean that they won't adjust things but I don't see that it was ever meant to be a sports bar.

They have advertised on local sports talk radio that that is precisely what they are, a sports bar.

I believe the quote was "we have every major sports package". You don't hear a lot of non-sports bars making claims like that.

Sports talk radio stations do remotes from UJ's. They are most definitely trying to be a sports bar.

If you go look on their Facebook page at their orginal logo they posted before opening it actuallys says "A Sports Bar & Grill". Interesting they removed that from their current sign/logo.

Welp, I guess it's a sports bar then. I'll leave it to those who know about such things to determine whether they succeed in that regard.

Been a couple times now, food and service have been great.

I think they're fine tuning their hours some, still. I think they were originally saying close at 1am, but it looks like they are moving to a 12am close Thurs - Sat. nights.

Also it looks like they're putting up a TV for the patio.
