Most people probably don't know who he is as I just discovered his music myself, but now I am bummed. George sang with the group Celtic Thunder and died on March 12th.

I am so glad someone posted this. I am a big Celtic music fan and have seen Celtic Thunder live. George was my favorite of all of them. He had a beautiful voice and fantastic personality. He already had a singing gig for St Patrick's Day, but didn't make it. He had been spending his time lately with his family. I was so shocked at this loss.
