I'm sure Skybox will be nice... They have already lined up a great operator for the food portion.
It would just be smaller and won't have nearly the marketing muscle as TopGolf.
I've seen the plans and they designed it knowing they'd be competing with top golf. Anything but trailer park..
Skybox does look cool, I just don't know about it being so close to TopGolf. They would probably be better off in Moore or Norman.
Just checked the Chisholm Creek site and it looks like the new site plan has moved the Top Golf to directly behind the new St. Anthony's Healthplex instead of farther back in the new development. It's closer to where the Cabela's was rumored to be. As an aside, it also looks like the area where the Costco was supposed to go doesn't look like a Costco anymore.

Rumors floating around:
TopGolf has threatened to sue Skybox for stealing TopGolf secret
information. I cant imagine Skybox will take them on.
TopGolf has interviewed a couple of big OKC law firms to file suit against
Skybox. Question is when and how deep into the group of Skybox insiders
and investors will the suit go.
Supposedly, TopGolf very excited about coming to Oklahoma City. Rumor has
it that they think this "small market" may turn out to be their best
location.
Sounds somewhat like a Taco Cabana/Two Pesos situation.
Having been a customer at other Top Golf locations they are the premiere real deal. There is only one Tiffanys Jewelers all others are posers. Likewise Top Golf is the upper, upper level of the genre and NOBODY will every top what they have. Like the Warren Theater in Moore beats ALL others in the OKC area.
Found out the exact location of TopGolf (bottom lower right below):

I wanna go to their bar, drink and complain to them about golf being on their TVs.
Cool....so its going to face to the east then so downtown will be more visible from the northern most bays.
Love where they moved it. The blueprints showed it facing north.
Wonder how that will affect turnout on windier days? Statistically OKC has either a strong north or strong south wind. Very rare east or west. Meaning people will have a direct strong crosswind factor almost any day of the week. At least facing north or south you can average good and bad days depending on wind direction, but to fight a stiff crosswind every day seems kind of the worst orientation.
That is a lot better than the wind blowing directly into your face. Went to TopGolf in The Colony in January. Normal windy day with probably 20mph winds. I am pretty sure we were facing East while hitting. Yes, we kind of had to play the wind with our shot, but nothing your are not use to if you play any golf in OK. With our food and drinks and just sheer comfort level, I am certainly glad the wind was not blowing in our face. In fact, due to the curved setup we did not feel the wind at all. I think they are spot on with this. Keep your customers comfortable 1st, worry about the wind effecting the golf ball 2nd.
^ True. I'm just thinking of every time I go out to the golf course I go to to drive (S 89th and Shields). It faces the east, and going there in the spring and fall is just awful. The strong crosswinds make it very difficult to tell exactly how well you are driving, since the ball can go 60-70 feet off course on what would be a straight drive.
True, but it won't matter when you're drunk.
The defense rests his case.
TopGolf has submitted it's final plans for approval:
Is this a new concept?
Looking forward to its opening.
This one from the front looks a lot like the one in Katy. Thought it was interesting, like down there, to have a big staircase to enter when everyone is carrying golf bags
