I agree on the F5. My favorite IPA ever.
Stuck my head in today. This looks like it should be a real hit.
Eager to try this place out! I think they will be extremely successful!
So excited for this place to open and really thrilled it's close enough to walk to. Even more excited they have vegetarian/vegan options on the menu! Wish more restaurants would realize those of us who don't eat meat really do want more of a choice than a garden salad! Will try to be there next week to try it out!
They've posted their menu.
They list the ceasar and theta burger for $7 ($5.79 and $5.59 at the reg Johnnies, respectively) and also a "burger bar" where you choose your protein (beef, chicken, veggie or crab cake) then add any (all?) of 30 or so toppings, including 8 different cheese.

Wow, billboards almost seem unnecessary. That place is going to kill it just based on neighborhood and downtowner business.
They have yet to post their hours, but I really hope they stay open late.
It's going to be a big hit, especially with those within walking distance.
And of course, WKSY keeps late hours and the bars at Aloft will do the same.
Yeah, when the places in Aloft open, Deep Deuce will really come into its own. The street activity is going to be pretty special. I noticed UJ setting up a nice patio with heaters too.
^
Don't forget OKSea, which will have a restaurant and bar, too.
Will be a great little tight cluster.
OKSea should be starting soon and should come together pretty quickly.
I'm sure they hope to be open by summer.
Dang, I'm suddenly uncertain about waiting until next Wednesday, I want to go now.
Their Facebook page says they officially open 11AM on Monday.
Not sure if their soft opening this weekend is open to the public or not, but you could always call or drop by.
It usually is.
I think they could do well with it. It's a special beer, imo. They're working on it. They need to be in the new brewery first for capacity reasons. I think they plan to start wholesaling out of state this year, IIRC.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I will be breaking my "wait one month" rule to go here. At the very least they can't screw up my F5 or the game I'll be watching.Dang, I'm suddenly uncertain about waiting until next Wednesday, I want to go now.
Yeah, with Aloft, UJ, Native Roots, WSKY, Deep Deuce Grill, Urban Roots and the Wedge, along with Maywood Apt and Mosaic opening this year and a good mix of owners and renters living in the area... don't look now, but we may have ourselves an actual real life functioning urban neighborhood. I think the one thing people would like to see is some sort of corner store with more basics than NR (but nothing that competes directly with it) and maybe a breakfast place. Although it wouldn't be all that hard for any of the existing restaurants to pick up some breakfast business if they want it.Will be a great little tight cluster.
Don't be surprised if Native Roots relocates to a spot very nearby and expands.
It's been all they can do to hang on while all around them has been a war zone. But Matt is extremely sharp and motivated and as long as they can hang in there in the short-term, the best is still to come from this operation.
Just got back from the soft launch. Food was great, the hummus was outstanding. I got a theta burger, wife got the veggie burger. Both were great. Service was good, but they were very overstaffed, so it'll level off a bit I'm sure. It's awesome inside, and will be a great addition to the neighborhood. Draft beer is just a touch overpriced, but for the proximity, I won't complain too much.
Looks like a great place. Glad they're going to have a nice beer selection.
The menu looks good too…except I doubt I'd never order a burger there as Johnnie's Burgers do nothing for me.
I'm ready for a cold brew from there now!
Just ate there... Home run!
Having this a block away is going to cost me about 50 pounds.
