    Lol this is just comical

I personally designed and wrote copy for several of the Gazette Ads and mailers in Shadid's Ward 2 campaign. You cannot convince me that Ed did not proof read and personally authorize that disgusting mailer. He was absolutely obsessive over the Ward 2 art, tight and controlling... I had to beg him for final send off to the printers at the very last extended deadlines. That apology is a farce. This is the work of Ed. He "gay-baiting" the conservative and black communities whilst sending watered down messaging to Progressives and Dems.

His one consistent MO is that he'll throw anybody or any group under the bus, no matter how strong a supporter, if he thinks it will get him more political power.

To accuse Cornett of being a career politician, and displaying all the traits of a politician with three times the tenure of Cornett, is pretty rich.

Urban Pioneer...Are you the gentleman that Scott Hamilton took exception with on their FB page and wanted to talk with "in private?"

No. I'm Jeff Bezdek. I did post on the thread though and know Scott somewhat. I think he is very misguided.

I am blown away by the deliberate dishonesty and soulless character attacks in this mailer - not to mention the subsequent "response" online. How can anyone be pleased by this kind of public discourse? Who, but those duped by dishonesty or those who are dishonest themselves, can possibly support a person who would act this way? I can honestly say I would never vote for someone stooping to tactics this sleazy - no matter how much his/her political ideology matched mine. OKC should rally to support Mick, if for no other reason than to stop a person who does not deserve to be mayor.

While it certainly appears things have imploded at DREDHQ, we cannot allow complacency or apathy to set in. Keep encouraging people to vote on Tuesday. The weather may be a factor and anything that suppresses turnout helps DRED.

Vote March 4th - leave nothing to chance.

And he has such a low political IQ that I bet he thought no one but his intended targets would ever see this. Dumb and dumber. This is totally the Shadid I know, both with the mailer and with the abrupt about face when he figured out that people were p.o.'d about it.

Correct me if I am wrong. I just checked candidate Shadid's FB page, and curiously, allllllllllllllllll those "non-positive" comments about Friday's Flyer, have disappeared (censored)? Good Night fellow Mickites.

Went to the Oklahoma County Election Board (Lincoln Boulevard) today (28th) to cast my vote. I was impressed with the early turn out of voters. Mark your calendar if you haven't voted. Get to the polls and vote this coming Tuesday; maybe we can save some money by avoiding an April 1, runoff if someone doesn't get the majority.

Oklahoma City's continued progress could be at stake?

Spendign $1M on a $24,000/yr job tells me there is a lot of other money the mayor gets that isn't part of his salary...

And SOME OF THAT could have funded a Metro Bus for the only zip code (73162) without Transit Service. Oh well...

I read the, um, er, interesting dred response, and I think it's worse than the mailer.
Blindsided? Someone runs on open and transparent and yet he is blindsided, within his own campaign, on his own materials.

Dang. I was already of the opinion there wasn't a voter around this guy didn't see as mere chum to toss under any oncoming bus, but I didn't think he was low enough to treat his own team as bumper bait. Such poor, poor form. As bad or worse than the mailer itself really. The mailer was just gutter level politics. No real surprise there. But to disclaim your own folk and cry butt hurt over it .... that's a whole new low in a series of low.

One could almost begin to wonder if the stress of the campaign has knocked the man off that all cured podium he lept up on a while back.

It's gone from odd to strange to rude to tacky to just plain sad and now all the way down the sewer drain to the beyond pathetic retention pond.

I hope everyone is polite. I'd like to hear what he has to say. No need to get nasty, folks.

Yes. He has really earned "politeness." Why don't you call him on the phone if you want to chat with him? He lists it on his web site. Tell him you're an undecided voter. He'll be glad to talk to you. You can be as polite as you want.

Someone from the Shadid camp must have looked in...my "invite" has been removed from his FB page. Maybe it's because I didn't contribute to his campaign treasury? Geesh!!!!!

Here's what I think happened with that mail piece. The Shadid campaign has been engaged in a sleazy whisper campaign throughout, trying to suggest the mayor is up to nefarious activities in NYC. They have been suggesting he's gay.

I think that they had this in the can to use at the last minute, depending on how things went down. And then that poll came out showing Shadid being destroyed and I think it flipped a switch. He is a very nasty and vindictive person. He has the personality of someone who will leave a scorched earth. He will not "lose with class" or dignity. I think Ed Shadid's ego got damaged when he realized what a loser he is a candidate and he had that mail piece released.

He needs emotional and psychological help. The therapy he has had is clearly not enough.

WTH? Why are you being rude to me?
