How can a candidate claim to be a friend of the LGBT community and then send out flyers attacking their opponent for being a supporter and voting in favor of LGBT equality? I'm confusED.

After I received my latest mailing from Councilman Shadid, I cut it up and returned it to him in an envelope this afternoon, with a note..."Just how many votes do you think this got ya?" Un-effin believable!!!!!

Over on Facebook Scott Hamilton is saying Shadid leadership specifically forbade distribution of the mailer. However, another poster reports that he lives in the 39th Street enclave, and the mailer he received was identical except that the Gay Resolution/Play bullet item was absent. Sketchy indeed!

Paseofreak...The only place I have ever used my "full name" anywhere on the internet is on Facebook, and I have never, ever visited the Shadid campaign Facebook page. How in the heck did they get my home address (with my full name on the Flyer)?????

Clever use of "rubbed off." So basically this mailer is saying that Mayor Cornett supports gay rights and edgy theatre, but he was secretly visiting gay bathhouses in New York and likes show tunes. Classy effort, Team Shadid.

So that's what they meant when "they" quoted Mayor Mick as saying "I enjoy the anonymity that I receive when I'm in NYC."

Thanks for sharing. Since I'm out of city, I might just visit both campaign HQ's tomorrow, for my own amusement.

Weird aspect to this race. Conservatives supporting Ed, progressives for Mick. Whoever is elected, it might seem to the nation that OKC is a red place or a blue place, but it'll be backwards.

And for whatever it may be worth, OKC proper is far more purple than red or blue. Some of the lil' communities that bump uglies with OKC may lean more to one extreme, but OKC, she be purple slurple through and through.

Don't worry guys, Ed didn't mean this! Anyways his campaign manager is a gay veteran so you should still vote for him. Also don't worry he will continue to bash Cornett making a half ass apology. I honestly feel sorry for the poor souls who "trusted in Ed."
