That cherry picker is actually repairing the faux stucco, not placing the sign. They've been working on it for several weeks now, all around the building.

Another one from today courtesy of shawnw.

This is the downstairs area; big blue wall is on the left. You can see the upstairs area as well.

Really think this is going to be a cool setting.

Were walking by today and they let us take a look inside. This place is going to be just great. Hopefully they have the food to match. If they do, I suspect it'll be packed on the regular. This is a transformative-type place for deep deuce IMO. I'm imagining walking down 2nd street and being able to walk right into a hip sports bar with great food and drinks, just like one would do in NYC or Chicago. Can't wait until they open. Really a game-changer.

This little node on 2nd Street between Oklahoma and Russell M Perry is going to be the first real time that people in OKC get a full sense of the alternative lifestyle of Urban Living.

When people are walking from all these drinking/eating establishments while passing a law office and a grocery store along the way, looking up at all the apartments and realizing they could live upstairs and take a 2 minute walk to several places to do everyday tasks, I think many will question for the first time if they've been missing out on something.

Certainly not everyone who comes down here is going to feel the same way, but I imagine there are people all over this city that have accepted a way of life just because it's so incredibly ubiquitous.

Hopefully Mosaic and Maywood II will have a good variety of options for outsiders and the rest of the empty lots will be filled with a variety of for-sale residential and non-residential uses.

this is just me, if I was starting a restaurant/ bar downtown, I would make sure I was ready to go during the thunder season, opening at the tail end or even the summer isn't good business.

Surprised this has taken so long, does anyone know what the hang ups are?

It was a very ambitious build-out, and the space is very tall on the inside.

Looks like they are putting in plenty of money, and that takes time. I know they wanted to be open in January.

Most of the regular season is in winter time when being outside isn't as favorable. If they were still not open by the time spring is in full throttle, then yes that is a big mistake.

But I think the timing of this and Aloft's opening is going to be perfect for the end of the season plus up to 2 months of playoffs during nice warm weather.

They also have patio space out front which will be great on warm days.

Aloft will have patio space on 2nd as well, plus more on the west side.

Add all this to OKSea, and you have a great little hub of indoor / outdoor activity.

Truer words have not been posted on this forum. People WAY overestimate the impact of Thunder games on downtown restaurants. Definitely they can be/are a bit of a shot in the arm, but nice weather is 100x more important to their bottom line.

Usually you can just feel when something is going to be a home run and I've had that feeling about this place for a while.

This one little area is getting ready to be very special.

All of the video screens should make it a great sports bar/restaurant for the neighborhood.
