I'm not excited about the new shipping containers office location. Such an awesome view from your hotel room...especially the presidential suite...at Aloft.
Anyone heard anything on rates?
I wonder what Jim Thompson (owner/developer of Aloft) thinks about this.
You would hope that Richard McKown has already received his blessing.
Remember, Aloft will have concrete floors, exposed duct work, bright modern furniture and fixtures, etc.
OKSea would actually dovetail nicely into their urban/industrial design.
It's really fun to think how special this little strip of 2nd is going to be with Urban Johnnie, Native Roots, multiple bars in Aloft, Deep Deuce Grill, Urban Roots and and expanded WSKY.
Will also be very interesting to see who OKSea gets as tenants.
I came across a really cool "Container Park" concept last time I was in Vegas: Container Park. I didn't like how it was enclosed and self-contained (didn't really interact with surrounding area), but pretty neat otherwise.
I actually think OK SEA is going to contribute to that view not detract from it. I don't understand the fuss.
Another fuss I don't understand is that it was brought to my attention that the earlier post of mine in this thread was my 10,000th. That's a horrific benchmark or Internet posting that I hope none of you have to face.
Ok, I've read Steve's article a couple of times and I'm not sure I am understanding things correctly.
The dog park/bar in DD, dead or not?
Sorry, slightly off topic, but only slightly.
^
Yes, dog park dead at that location, anyway.
Perhaps they'll move it north of Calvary Church, as McKown owns that property as well and probably won't be developing it for a while.
I like the idea of moving it and maybe another to the most-prime sites on which we want to see development. They seem to have a good effect that way.

This is going to be cool. I love those string lights like the ones at The Guardian.
Very cool. This area also would be great for a food truck court.
It looks like this will have four separate lease spaces (labeled 1-4 on the containers).
Was just told they are close to nailing down an "exciting" operator for a bar/restaurant in this this project.
Great! Love my neighborhood and it's just getting better all the time.
Who would one call to inquire about this location, leasing?
Can we change this thread to OK SEA?
