You have got to be kidding me. Yes, lunches need to be paid for but, seizing the lunch trays is a little over the top.

That is beyond crazy.... everybody knows they should have made those kids sweep and mop the floors during their lunch time to pay for that milk and fruit.
Do they have Homeland Grocery Stores in Utah?
Over in the sort of anal-retentive, obsessive-compulsive organic area they have freeze-dried "whole okra 'chips'" that taste just like the best fried okra you ever dun et'. (no kidding)
Rumor has it that they were going to try to market them with the tag: So Lent Green . . .
but focus groups didn't respond positively to that label so it never took off.
Let that be a lesson t' ya' . . . aboot font alteration an' whatnot . . . =)
(never forget that "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" has a reach extending far beyond that of The Misguided, Inbred Gullible Hailing from Westboro, Kansas. =)
(I feel confident in making a comment such as that, on account of one of my mother's sisters is a [Mormon, nee Christian/reformed Baptist or whatever] and her demanding, deceased, husband was the only person that my Dad (a wandering Lut'rin) couldn't stand to go fishing with. Mormon's have some "religious objection to coffee, fer cryin' out loud . . . or at least "they" used to . . .)
I think they could have handled this without embarrassing the kids. It's the parents duty to keep up with this.
I can't think of a reason for parents not providing lunch for their kids.
Not a single reason. In fact I'm trying to remember the kids that did
without lunch when I was in school. Not a single student went hungry.
Their parents provided for them. Of course that was during the days when
parents were more concerned about their kids than their drug addiction.
