Maybe Shadid's trying to pack the Council. I'll be opposing anyone he's supporting unless I know them personally and can be assured that his support is random.

Why are we talking about appointing these folks? Draw new, smaller, realistic wards...have an election...call it done.

rather than increase wards, maybe okc, operating as it does on a non-partisan basis, should just redraw the boundaries. Put all the crazies in one or two wards, even if the wards end up looking like Jerry Seinfield's head, and put the sane folk in the other wards. I suspect sane folk won't mind if their crazy neighbor has a different councilperson.
