Yes, Pete. Le Cap is 228 and the wine store is 221 ;-) so it'd be where that white park bench is on the NW corner of the building.

In reality, this city is lacking nice drinking establishments period. Wine bars being an example.

My studio was where Le Cep is (228 NE 2nd). The wine bar is a Central street adress. The apartments above have a universal address and box numbers 1-8. So now there are technically three addresses for one building of that makes sense. Where the kitchen section is in Le Cep used to be a third address as well for J3 Architecture. They tore down the wall between my former unit and theirs to make the space for Sage, now LeCep.

Just went by to purchase Thanksgiving Meal beverages. Great little shop. Will is really knowledgeable and they 110% committed to being a neighborhood friendly business. Already planning events!

Yep, I've known Will for quite some time. Pretty sure we were even in the same elementary classes. He's definitely a good guy. Midtowner might remember him too. We all went to the same elementary school.

So weird because they said they were going to be opening "next Friday" about two months ago. Ridiculous and clueless.

Update.

We started a remodel beginning of Sept. The remodel is done, but ran into some red tape with changing the license over. We have jumped most of the hurdles and should be reopening within 2 weeks.

Are you moving into the space directly south and allowing for WSKY to expand into your old space?

They are indeed moving to the smaller space to the south of their former location. We will be putting in a new concept in the existing space and plan to begin construction once the city approves the plans.

Although its not in Deep Deuce, I buy everything at Broadway Wine and Spirits, which is still close.

Actually no. Deep Deuce Wine won't be opening back up it looks like. At least not it that building.

That stinks - loved how close they were, even if their selection wasn't quite there. Broadway will do some great business with the number of people that will be moving here.

Seriously - nothing against DD Wine - Broadway is just an excellent, excellent liquor store which leaves very little to be desired.

I still think a liquor store could work in the area. That was a fairly large footprint and it never "seemed" open. Weird, I know, and even shallow, but optics in retail do matter.
