Thread: Chuck E Cheese to 2241 W. Memorial

Far North Chuck E Cheese to 2241 W. Memorial

$984,000 building permit to remodel the old Howard's Sports space at 2241 W. Memorial, which is in front of Quail Springs Mall to the east side. It's between Gold's Gym and Gordman's / Best Buy.

This will be a 14,000 square foot location -- so rather large.

I think this will do well in this area and am surprised it took this long to have one.

Oh yeah.. It will do just fine in that area.

I am surprised Chuck E. Cheese is still around in today's world where kids can't be pried away from their Xboxes. Discovery Zone was great back in the 90s but even it didn't make it.

My 2 year old loves Chuck E. Cheeses. We took him just this past Saturday & he was all wound up & excited for it. I know 2 year olds isn't the age range you were speaking of, but just thought I'd give some insight. lol

Luckily, us adults who want to have some fun will have Main Event!

Chuck E. Cheese's main custormers are kids who hasn't discovered PS3 and Xbox or are not big enough to fight their bigger brother for control of the gaming console. lol

I went to Chuck E Cheese as a kid a few times, didn't find it all that fun..and the pizza was NASTY.

After Showbiz Pizza closed its doors, Chuck E. Cheese became the go-to place for kid birthday parties at which I was obligated to be.

The pizza may not have have been "NASTY" but it was close.
(All this was back in the '80s and I'm sure things have improved tremendously.)

The only fun thing at either place was the Skee-Ball.

Well . . . That, and watching the various reactions of the kids to The Giant Roving Mouse Mascot.
(and they ran the gamut from uncontrollable horror to heavenly bliss.)

I hardly ever drive by the two current locations in OKC, so don't know how packed, if at all, they are but I guess they've done pretty well since they have been open for quite some time.

The one on NW Expressway has been there a very long time... At least 25 years.

OKC will have 3 Chuck E Cheese's, a Dave and Buster's, Main Event and Incredible Pizza/Lidos/Gatti Town (has it changed names AGAIN? lol).

The Dave and Busters here really sucks big time. Really wish Incredible Pizza would've stuck to its original concept and stayed with it. That would have been so awesome and it really used to be a great place.

Is it really that bad? I haven't been to the one here.

I've only been there once (which is crazy considering I was very excited for it), but it seemed just as good as the ones I've been to in Denver and Kansas City.

Yeah, but I've only been to the one in Dallas in the Stone Briar Mall. Maybe that one was just extra good, I don't know.
