Yeah, just shared my feeling about his on Facebook. Very disappointed...
Allegedly.
Pretty serious charges...We won't see him in blue again
He's gone. Thunder can get plenty of talent that doesn't get arrested.
Careful throwing judgments around here. In these domestic situations, things often do not happen the way the alleged victim reports them.
There's always that potential Mid. However, it's becoming increasingly irrelevant.
There was a time folks still generally adhered to the notion that a person is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Somewhere along the way that seem to be replaced by presumed innocent, unless charged, because they don't charge people for no reason.
Then it seemed to become someone was presumed innocent unless the police interviewed them, because cops have too much to do to bother with folks who haven't been bad.
These days, more and more it seems we've leaped on over to if you make the paper in a negative light, you're as good as cooked.
The presumption of innocence is today like the tooth fairy. Everyone knows about it, but believing in it is a whole different matter.
Gawd, ain't that right... To make matters worse, some ADAs take things to trial which shouldn't even be charged in the first place. I'm pretty floored by someone in Greg Mashburn's office right now.
(and that's all I have to say about that)

Desmond Mason was talking on The Franchise earlier this evening and he pretty much said he was done and possibly done with his career in the NBA due to rules and regulations of the CBA being broken with this joke of a move. Obviously it will be investigated in case the defendant actually made it up, but it's a damn shame either way...
Latest from the Daily Oklahoman..
Details have emerged in the domestic violence case that landed DeAndre Liggins in jail Saturday, in the form of a probable-cause affidavit, and the news is not good.
He's accused of punching his girlfriend, Jasmine Horton, in front of their 2-year-old son, then kicked in the door she had locked herself behind, pushed her down, dropped a fan on her, stomped her with his foot and dropped an Xbox on her head, according to the affidavit. The police report states that Horton had a variety of injuries, although Liggins has still not been charged with a crime. He's been released from jail on $8,000 bail and averaged just 1.5 points and 1.4 rebounds in 39 games last season. If he is charged and these charges turn out to be true, there's a very good chance he won't be playing for the Thunder this season. Sep 3 - 10:16 PM
There is no way the Thunder should keep him now. Its a big embarrassment every day for the team until he is released.
Nothing will happen to him. This is par for the course in the NBA.
Wow, a complete lack of intelligence packed into two sentences.
While there are franchises that will allow a lot of things to go unpunished, OKC is not one of them. If there is any truth to the matter, he will definitely be cut. Even if it isn't all true, I have a hard time seeing him back. We have more than 15 players signed for camp and don't need the PR nightmare that this is bringing. When it is on CNN and other national outlets, having "Oklahoma City Thunder" attached is not a good thing.
Fortunately the Thunder owners and management/coaching staff take this seriously. Plus he is just a bench warming/taxi squad/scrub. Adios punk.
He was stupid for putting his hands on his girl friend. What happen is when she comfront him about cheaping with the other woman. He got tired of her yelling at him and then got mad and beat her up. He should of just went to other girl friend house so that she could cool down.
Thank you,
People need to keep this in perspective and not lose sight of the fact that DeAndre Liggins is afforded due process under the law.
Let's hope that they treat DeAndre Liggins the same way they would address this issue if it were a Durant, Westbrook or Ibaka.
Hell! So you're saying CNN reporting is like a prayer book?
If this was a case involving Nick Collison would you want him kicked off the team just because you're concern about publicity from CNN?
We are getting ready to find out what this Oklahoma City franchise is all about. Will they afford Liggins due process and let this situation take its course; or will they pull the trigger on him as some posters are predicting?
I would imagine that he at best make it until the end of training camp. How long is the court process ? Not sure if it goes past October 28th.
Did the New England Patriots wait until the court case against Aaron Hernandez (a very good TE) was completed before releasing him? No.
Did Penn State wait until the court case against Sandusky was over before firing Joe Paterno (a legendary coach)? No.
The court case against Liggins and the roster decision on Liggins are two separate things. Presti will tell him to stay away from the Thunder's practice facility indefinitely but unless Liggins' girlfriend is shown to have made up an elaborate lie, he won't be back in OKC.
Not trying to be funny but Liggins better get used to hearing the words 'dropped an XBox360 on her head' in every DLeague/NBA/Overseas arena he plays in the rest of his life.
Quite an observation and rush to judgement. Would you want to at least be able to tell your side of the story without people passing judgement?
Glad you pointed out that he 'dropped an XBox360 on her head;' this doesn't sound like someone really trying to hurt his live-in girlfriend. Could it have fallen off the counter, slipped from his hand or something? We've only heard one side of the story. Will she file charges? This situation needs to play itself out; including predicting how Presti is going to handle this situation is a bit premature.
If we were hearing that this were the actions of a Durant, Westbrook or Collison toward a live-in girlfriend/spouse would we be so quick to 'rush to judgement?'
Have we heard from DeAndre Liggins? Oh, he comes off the bench and we can get his caliber of play 'a dime a dozen...' Trample over this guy and his reputation--he's your average thug?
Give the Thunder a chance to do their own internal investigation. We don't need to be privy to all the minute details. This whole situation has been a total fiasco for DeAndre Liggins and his family. If Liggins wanted to hurt his girlfriend given his size and frame she wouldn't have made it to a neighbor's house; a neighbor who wasn't aware of Liggins and his girlfriend.
Yes, this is definitely not on the same level as the Paterno, Hernandez or Sandusky cases. Oklahoma City Thunder organization will handle this situation and until they hear from Liggins (we've heard one version), let the process takes its course.
This sounds ole so familiar growing up where you have that mob mentality and since Liggins is not a Durant, Westbrook or Ibaka; we are so quick to rush to judgement.
You keep hearing parents suggest these players are our childrens' role models. You as parent(s) should be that child's role model (not a Thunder player); life affords us many teachable moments and much can be learned from this situation; teaching them to observe all things...
Again no one is saying the dude is guilty we are just saying he is done wearing Thunder gear...geez
