Only one out of many.
Just makes me sick to see these old photos. What loss.
You should also feel sick any time history tries to repeat itself downtown.
Main St. in 1910's. View looking SE at Main & Robinson from Majestic Building.
:-(
You can see the Kerr Dry Good Store which was the predecessor to the Kerr's Department Store.
Nice pic of one of the rooms:

I've never stayed at the Colcord. I've thought about booking a room someday, just for the heck of it.
When the Colcord was sold, they auctioned off each floor for salvage and I was able to pick up a couple of the floors and have been storing bits and pieces of the building for several years. I used a few of the doors, glass, transoms, and marble in my house. I have approx 20 more doors and numerous windows in the garage. I am the owner of the new building set to go up in the film exchange at 600 west Sheridan and they will be repurposed into the new building. I wish I had more of the door handles but unfortunately was only able to get a few.

Any idea what Black's next venture may be?
Posted this on the Vast thread as well, but i was told that the new management team was in place as of yesterday morning and the Williams group was completely out.
