Spinozi's tried to get a bike night going but was never too successful, too many other ones around town during the week.

Food is pretty good. I tend to like fried seafood so I have much greater options there. I was so glad to see a decent business go in there as the location had been burdened with less than desireable clientelle when Scooters and Hooters was the tenant.

    Nice try, The Shack...

"less than desireable clientelle" Sorry if I lowered the property values by going to those previous places.

Ahh, look to the bright side. Nobody slapped a sticker on yer window nor a flyer under your wiper or door handle.

I remember being told this is owned/operated by a member of the Landry family. It's on my list of places to try but I don't go that far north for dinner very often.

Okay food and pretty good service the times I've been in. Prices seem a bit high for lunch, and it's pretty heavy, so look for a post meal napping spot.

We love this place. We had dinner there last weekend. Love their fried crawfish.

We heard it was owned by a member of the Pappas family, so who knows. I guess it has some connection to a big Houston restaurant family.

It's pretty good, but as Betts said, it's practically in Edmond, so we rarely go that far away for meal.

Never quite understood the raving fans' viewpoints, though I've tried to, and I'm still willing to change my mind for the better.

NW 63rd and Broadway is "that far north"..."practically in Edmond" Huh who woulda thought??? I bet this characterization would surprise NH residents, Village residents too.

My thought as well. I couldn't tell if that's sarcasm or not. However, if Soonerguru lives on the south side or in Norman, I guess I see the point... for a centralized resident, it's not far out there at all.

It surprised this Edmond resident too. To us, from our part of Edmond, it's like almost going downtown for dinner!

They're opening another location 'almost in Edmond' at May & Memorial -- in the old Casablanca space.

Even though I live in Edmond, its the same distance for us too since we are on the northeast side of Edmond. It's about 15 miles to either location.

I hope they're ready in that second location - they'll need it!

Kind of ironic, moving to a new location, and oops... Fire! In the old location. And I've never heard of this Casablanca place before that they are moving into.

If you read the comments on Urbanspoon there was some indecision as to whether Casablanca was a restaurant or a church.

The building had been a couple of other failures before Casablanca. Nothing made it more than a couple of months. It's been empty for a long time. I had to take my wife by it the other day because she didn't believe me that there was a restaurant behind Abuelo's. Even though we go to Abuelo's and had passed by the building lot's of times. It's an odd, not very visible, location. Maybe since The Shack already has a following they can make it work.

My wife and I dined at Casablanca once . . . I thought it was pretty good and nothing like the experiences described on Urbanspoon. We must have visited while the next to the last owners were running it. It reminded me of a cross between PF Changs, Charlestons and Bravo. Later, she and a friend went there for lunch and the vibe she described was like, "What are YOU two doing in here?" I think they decided to go to Abuelo's or Johnny Carinos or somewhere else.

So is the "new" (now only) location of the Shack the building that is being worked on where Dennys used to be? Next to Taco Bell and Johnnies?

No, it's behind Abuelo's, accessed off of Memorial, west of May.
