It's fun to blog, though!

Hey, I got a chance to view your blog on myspace, and I was impressed. It looks like you have put lots of work in to your site. As Patrick said, be careful not to release to much info about yourself.

I'm like you, though. Sometimes while I am blogging on my xanga account, I will sometimes slip and use someone's last name, however, fortunately, I always read through my post before I hit submit. I also look for typos and punctuation, because I am real picky about my spelling and grammar.

BTW, why am I still up? Is Patrick rubbing off on me?

    Ok.....

Yeah, just make sure not to use last names, and to be careful what pictures you post. IMO, pictures of yourself in a bikini should be off limits. But, thats just me. There's a lot of idiots out there just waiting to prey on anyone, and the more fuel you give them, the worse it can become.

Those huge 50 question surveys everyone puts up there, are also something to be cautious of. You can quickly gather enough info to make reasonable guesses about people's habits, and what they do and that's just for starters. I am constantly warning my youth.

Okay Patrick! So are you calling me stupid for posting the pick on the photo gallery of me in my bikini! JUST KIDDING!! But serioiusly, I am not stupid .... I wanted to post some pics from my Cozumel trip. And, almost all the pics. I had from the trip I was in my bathing suit!

Back to the topic... On myspace you can really post or write what you want if you set your profile to private. This will ensure that only your friends have access to your page. People must be listed as your friend in order to view any of the details or pics. on your page. If you have your profile to private and only accept "friends" who you personally know, then your "site" will be much more secure.

I really discourage online socializing on many levels for many reasons for young teens and children. And myspace.com has become a haven for online predators. I see myspace.com has the 21st Century chat room with profiles available, and you are asking for trouble as a young teen setting up one of these accounts. Policing the activities of a predator can and will become a full time job.

    My grade for myspace? D

Mywaste dot com ain't all bad. It's a good way for ex-Okies like myself to keep family and old friends up-to-date on what I'm up to. Rather than sending out annoying group e-mails, people can log on if they choose.

    + it's free. Cool!

I have facebook, no myspace profile. I personally like it a lot better since it's limited to the academic world...

I agree with Patrick here. I'm not a big fan of myspace.com. Sexual predators love the site. With that being know, why bother? If people really need to know details about your life, send them an email.

I actually had a myspace until somebody hacked in to my computer and deleted it. No more myspace.

MySpace.com - www.myspace.com/34195594 is my myspace page. I just had to advertise too. I have met a lot of OU fans on myspace and also some really cool people on there. It's private, and you can't tell a lot by clicking on the link but you can always add me.
