Nice menu and the prices seem reasonable.

That menu looks great. This district is coming together. Any plans for more residential in the area?

The cobb salad looks yummy, except for the dressing. As blasphemous as it sounds I don't like ranch dressing.

Is Chopt what was going to be the Healthy something Cafe?

Yes, it was to be another Health Nut Cafe -- there is one in the Regency Tower.

However, it looks like they decided to give it a unique name; pretty sure it's the same owners.

    8 dollar salads.

Yea they better be great. lol

I don't know.... I'm sure places like this are beneficial to a lot of people but....... I try and eat healthy at home. When I go out to eat I'm going out to eat something that might drop me dead from cardiac arrest on the spot. I would be pretty PO'd if I went out choking on a piece of lettuce or broccoli

It is good to see some healthier options opening up around the Metro the last couple of years for those that don't always have time to cook healthy options for themselves.

Probably only open for breakfast and lunch, where people tend to eat healthier and lighter.

They'll use only the highest quality lettuce.

I think the prices are supported by the chair selection in the photos.

(psst: "healthy" (and tasty) plate garnish: baby spinach, those little tiny tomatoes, a scoop of 2% fat cottage cheese (Braums and Daisy are just as good), and some Kraft Greek Vinegarette (or Maria's Blue Cheese if you dare) to taste. This, on the side--mostly for color-- makes that 1.5" pork chop look like a diet delite. Or vice-versa.)

did i forget to mention "fresh ground black pepper"? from an actual pepper grinder?
oh: and wash the spinach. don't believe the package. =)

oh! and don't put raw chicken in the chicken salad . . .
(at least without washing your hands)

was "little, tiny" tomatoes redundant? i hope not.
if you put some wheels under this place it might be a food truck . . .

(sorry . . . too much KEBC comedy . . . (henny youngman and rodney dangerfield with a hint of mort sahl and/or don rickles)

almost forgot: How do I love thee? Let me count the weighs . . . i mean wheys . . . (sorry)

(really... I also wish these adventurers into the realm of culinary delights for people too [insert lazy/busy/whatever] to cook all the best: May the weight of the greenbacks and credit card receipts be equal to that of one of the retro chairs in the dining area.)

I'm with you, I was fed up with ranch two weeks after it came out. I think Ranch ice cream was the final straw! OK, that's not exactly true, but it seemed like it was everywhere.

CT, if you are consuming your ranch ice cream (that sounds nasty and I like ranch) thru a straw, you may not be doing it right...unless if it is in the form of a milkshake, but make sure you use one of those extra thick straws designed for that...LOL

I'm not overly fond of ranch dressing either. No matter how you look at it. Or how it sounds.

In the first place there is the cowboy hats, string/bolo ties and chaps. Plus the pointy boots designed that way to easily slip into a stirrup while you are herding cattle. (ranch dressing . . .? dressing? nevermind.)

In the second place, just how does a "ranch" taste? I once bought some sort of "exotic" cheese one time. My wife took a taste and said it tastes like a barnyard. It took me a minute or two, but I got her point. And while a barnyard--even a large one--isn't a "ranch" it's in the vicinity thereof.

In the third place, I am suspicious about "Cobb" salad. with or without the corn. I'm not sure which side of the privy it's supposed to be on.

Of course . . . I've never been to The Original Hidden Valley.
(I had an envelope from there one time . . . sure wish they'd made it more clear that mixing it with buttermilk was more than a suggestion . . .)

(thx t' groucho marx and mitch hedberg)

Ranch ice cream! I'll have nightmares about that. I know how ranches smell, never made me want to taste one. Put enough bacon on it and it won't need dressing.

I had a salad today. Not bad, but processed/store bought (factory made) ingredients, nothing special.

    This is a Chop't salad??

Looks extremely unfresh. I feel bad for anyone dropping 8 dollars on this.

If that is representative of their food, they are doomed. $8 for that is an insult. And, I don't mind paying...it isn't the $8, but what it gets.

What about Blu Cheese? (wanna bet it ain't as good as what you already don't like? =)
    Bloo Cheese . . . (egad! . . . but it does come with a free comic so . . .)
    Or how about Bleu Cheese?
Down in Lousiana they have Bleaux Cheese. They cut it with Borax to kill the mold, then add some Clorox to get rid of the stains.

Roquefort: Now THAT'S nasty. and difficult to spell correctly.
Yet, word on the street has it that when combined with a couple of cloves of garlic it keeps the Grammer Nazis at bay. (like those who might use a word like "unfresh" rather than "stale" . . . Perhaps even the "Grammers" of several of the hosts and hostesses on HGTV! =)

Say! Here's a little DIY suggestion:
Put some cottage cheese in a bowl, sprinkle it with some Hidden Valley Original Ranch Dressing Powder, et voila!
If you wanted to put a Cajun Spin on it, give it a couple of splashes of Original Lousiana Hot Sauce. It would turn it "shrimp pink" . . . Then dump it all over a small pile of some "wilted, then re-wilted in a saucepan over-the-date Baby Spinach!

As much as you want . . . About $1.50 per serving.

(if you prefer to drink it through a straw, you will have to add a blender to the mix. tip o' the hat t' : Bro. Chandler and Jim Gaffigan--spec. ref.: the joke about the tuna water at Subway)
