Thread: Boston Marathon Explosions

everyone wants to know who done it

    here's my guess:

    30% chance disgruntled ex-military/PTSD type
30% tax protester/gun law protester type
    30% white supremacist/timothy McVeigh type
    10% foreign terrorist group

its anybody's guess, I'd lean toward the miltary/PTSD type, I'm probably wrong, post your speculations. The interesting thing to me is that no one would expect a female to be behind this, just a thought.

100% chance the administration will use this tragedy to take away more of our rights.

I think Bush already did that for the current administration. But if you are someone who cooks with a pressure cooker, I'd be worried that your right to buy one is at risk.

Personally, I'm a lot more worried about the injured and the families of those who died.

You just can't help yourself using this sad event to bash Obama... JMHO but that's pretty damn pathetic.

Not being political but the odds are high that they already know which group is responsible for this. There could be several reasons the info hasn't come out. One of which is to help with the investigation. Seeing this tactic used more often these days so suspect they find good reason for withholding what they know.

No conclusion to jump to except that this isn't the guy. The straps on the backpack on his arm aren't being pulled tight enough to have a 8qt pressure cooker filled with ball bearings and nails it.

just out of curiosity--and certainly not wanting to "get political" here--how in the world can one of your first reactions to a crime as horrible and senseless as this be so selfishly tunnel-visioned? i mean, really. how can that be?

isn't it precisely that sort of thinking that leads to s*it like this?
    well . . . isn't it?

and how is it that anyone can assume what I posted was "one of my first reactions". IOW, when I want to be categorized, I'll get in touch with you.

Per CNN and other news sources, an arrest is "imminent." No additional details other than suspect being taken in.

That's about all the Post got right with this one. Pretty shabby reporting, unless you're the National Enquirer.

Yes, the fog of war. John King on CNN really believes in his sources and he says U.S. Marshals have arrested a suspect. Let's hope he's right.

Interesting, several reports this suspect was identified clearly by video from Lord &Taylor department store, a true "caught in the act" slam dunk on this suspect.

What I don't understand is if all the FBI had was a video of the perp, how the heck could they have ID'd him (or her) just like that? Or maybe this was someone who has a history?

"Boston University graduate student Lingzu Lu has been identified by the school as the third person who died in Monday's bombings at the Boston Marathon."

My thoughts and prayers to her family and friends here and back in China.

Anyone watching CNN? They went from the reporters who were actually telling us what was going on, and then the "star" anchors show up, Cuomo and Anderson Cooper just rehashing older stuff.

They ALL drive me crazy. The anchor introduces a remote reporter who sets up a piece he/she recorded earlier.
