I was wondering what was up with this. Thanks for posting. I drove by the other day and noticed the old glass "lobby" (the blue and white in the rendering) area was torn out. Any idea on the timeline for this project?

One word....Why? The building was perfectly fine. I'm not sure what this gives the building other than an architecturally unmatching thing in the middle of it now.

What I find odd is that this new 'entrance' doesn't connect to anything to enter from. It has stairs, but they go to a grassy area, there is no sidewalk in front of the building, and no parking on that side. All there is are 3 lanes of one-way street and 10 lanes of a depressed freeway. Meanwhile, people who actually work in the building get to see the crappy side every day. I wonder what posses someone to show cars passing by on a freeway the 'good stuff' and then reward the people who actually work in the building with the dumpster view.

Perhaps they expect the workers to work instead of staring at the good stuff. Employers are totally unreasonable are't they?

Never mind Popsy - I probably can't explain it in a way you would understand.

This isn't the entrance, just the highway frontage side. The entry side is also receiving a similar facelift.

Is the rendering of the same side of the building as the photograph and facing the freeway?

The rendering side is the side facing the freeway, the photo of the current building is the north side of building.
