Nichols Hills water reserves low

NICHOLS HILLS -- Low reserves due to hot weather and a water line project have forced the city to ask residents to voluntarily ration water, public works director Charles Hooper said today.
Residents are asked to stop watering outdoors at night for a month. Watering from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. is still allowed.
The city has not been able to use five water wells because of a project to replace a 12-inch water line along Wilshire Boulevard. The work will be finished by September, Hooper said.
