Definitely. That's why I use the Flickr app and then when I get home I insert the code in.

Only I don't have time to wait till I get home to go back to OKCTalk and upload the code as I have small children.

This is the cover for the current issue (Jan/Feb 2013) of Oklahoma Today:

The article about Larry Nichols & Devon (already posted earlier in this thread) is here:

I need to go pick up a hard copy of this issue.

Rather interesting photo of the tower that seems to vanish into vapor as it rises

The tower seems so translucent in this pic that the brown buildings at the base appear to be located behind DT and actually seen through it rather than being a reflection.

Those aren't brown buildings. That's the interior lobby.

Oops, you're right. That's my stupid!

Usually you can't see the lobby that clearly from the outside during the day.

My uncle who works at Devon was moved to another building downtown because they are "remodeling" parts of the building because they are running out of room and trying to make the building make the most efficient use of space possible. Makes me wish the would've just built a super-tall!!!! We, at least this means they might build another tower soon. 2-5 years sound reasonable?

If they're already running out of room again then I'd speculate that the designs are in the works now. Think about how long planning took before an official announcement was made for the current tower. If it's going to be closer to two years then the dream is already in the works...has to be.

Also, don't forget they have already stated they would like to beef up their midstream operations in the near term. That could be a huge boost in employee count coming very soon.

Perhaps they'd tear down the IRS building and buy the empty lot next to it, between it and the Robinson Renaissance, and build there and have it connect to the Colcord annex?

That would make a lot of sense. But who knows. They still have all that Preftakes area to work with. I think Devon has much more coming for this town in the years ahead.

That would be a problem, since Robinson Renaissance isn't the next building north - Corporate Tower is before RR.
And since Devon doesn't own either building, they'll have to pay some big bucks to get them.

Devon Tower, as seen from Lake Hefner:

See it there, on the horizon in the middle? You can't miss it, heh.

Are you sure that's Lake Hefner? There's water in the lake in the picture. I kid, I kid!

Well, apparently there are still a few drops of liquid remaining in the lake.

Thanks for correcting, but either way, my point remains, if Devon is the secret buyer, they could easily acquire the vacant field next to IRS, and they have the cash flow to easily do this. No problem here.

That's a nice bike. Do you really like it. I've been thinking about investing some good money into a good road bike.

Plutonic: check the source link I provided. That's neither my photo nor my bike. I'm sure it's a nice bike though (I guess).

If it's DVN and they acquire 55 N. Robinson and the land north of it, they will have a small buildable footprint due to setbacks. I'm not talking about what might be required by code, I mean what DVN would do for security purposes. Their new tower is intentionally set away from Sheridan for this reason, with a virtually impenetrable series of barriers, gardens, fountains and walls between building and street.

its funny you mention that because they actually use some of the trees as part of the barrier ... a guy with a chain saw and 10 seconds could clear a path for a truck to drive through
