Ollie's? Do you mean the root beer stand that was on S.W. 29th and S. May ave?

My grandmother took me to Farrell's one time when I was here on a visit. Still have my Farrell's glass mug. My memories of what it was like are rather distant now...much like my memories of Shakey's Pizza.

Shakey's Pizza. I know this is an old post, but....man, Shakey's Pizza.

When I was a kid, Shakey's Pizza was it. The smells were awesome and unmatched. To this day, I've never had pepperoni pizza that tasted quite like Shakey's, and heaven knows I've never seen player pianos with blue and red keys rather than white and black. Used to go to the one over on 56th and Western, and there's at least the remnants of an old Shakey's doing business as a rather nasty buffet place on SW 29th in Del City. There's just enough of its Shakey's heritage remaining to remind the sufficiently old and observant that it was, in fact, once a Shakey's.

    Great place.

There are still a bunch of Shakey's out here in California.

In high school, we used to go to the one on 39th near Ann Arbor.

I don't remember the pizza much but do know that I strongly preferred Pizza Planet.
