A few observations:

I was hoping two of my favorite films this past year, Moonrise Kingdom and Perks of Being a Wallflower, would get more attention but if you haven't seen either they are excellent.

From reading the Lincoln thread it looks like it is getting more love than it deserves. Leaving out Tom Hooper and Kathryn Bigelow almost assures Spielberg a win.

I was also hoping Javier Bardem would sneak into best supporting actor but didn't. On that note I hope Adele finally breaks Bond song oscar curse and wins.

I think Someday wins best song, even thought I don't think it was the best song in the movie. I'm also hoping that Lincoln doesn't sweep, because there are other really good movies that deserve recognition too.
