    WRWA Weather Update #1
OKLAHOMA CITY, December 24, 2012 – Airlines at Will Rogers World Airport are beginning to adjust flight schedules for Christmas Day in anticipation of the winter storm.
Delta Airlines has cancelled four of their eight scheduled flights and waived change fees.
The following flights have been cancelled:
    DL 5424 OKC-ATL 10:20am
    DL 4577 OKC-MSP 10:55am
    DL 4679 OKC-SLC 2:20pm
    DL 3296 OKC-DTW 3:30pm
United Airlines is also waiving fees for those passengers wanting to change their Christmas day flights.
Weather problems may not be limited to Oklahoma City. Denver is expecting snowstorms through tomorrow morning, Dallas has the potential for snow and freezing rain, and Houston and Atlanta are expecting thunderstorms. The weather could impact several major airline hubs across the country.
The airport urges anyone traveling to or from WRWA tomorrow to check flight status prior to coming to the airport.
Airport maintenance crews are ready to clear runways and taxiways and make every effort to keep the airport operational. Additional airport and parking staff stand ready to clear sidewalks, roads in front of the terminal, and parking lanes.

Talk about a crappy travel plan on my part--

depart OKC for connecting flight thru ORD on Dec 20 (which was cancelled)!

return to OKC from ORD on 12/25, last flight of the night into OKC, (cancelled, I'm guessing)!

Mother Nature wants me to stay home this year!

Good luck to everyone else in their travels!

From OKC...here is an image showing their salt trucks. This came over the twitter feed into the chat room. I believe they only have 40 salt rucks to use, for a 600+ sq mile city. I still can't get over that coming from a city 1/6th the size in land area that has around 80 trucks. LOL
