Thread: Big 12 Midseason Observations

  1. Default Re: Big 12 Midseason Observations

Don't forget as long as KSU wins out now, OU is almost a lock for Fiesta.

During one of the ABC/ESPN games last night their BCS Bowl projections had OU-A&M playing in the Fiesta Bowl.

So West Virginia, the pride of the Big East joins the Big XII and has lost 4 in row, meanwhile, the middle of the pack Aggies go to the SEC and knock off Alabama and are 5-2 in the conference.

I don't think A&M would be the school to get the second BCS bid from the SEC. THey have a few teams ahead of them.

I don't know. Bedlam may be the most interesting game left in Big 12 play, as it always should be. Texas is also rallying and may be 10-15 when K-State plays them.

Very true and I don't see Kansas State losing. I think the Fiesta Bowl would be a great game for Oklahoma. I think KSU will be in the NCG, Collin Klein will win the Heisman with ease and Bill Snyder walks away as Coach of the Year. Snyder is one the best coaches to ever coach at the collegiate level.

You're right, and since nobody in the SEC thought a former Big XII team would contend, they hadn't yet explained all the rules!

Thanks Aggies? With A&M joining the SEC, the quality of football in both conferences has increased...

Lot of football left to be played. I wouldnt be saying OU is a lock for Fiesta with road games at WVU, TCU and at home vs OSU.

Sooners will defeat OSU at home but lose to West Virgina and Texas Christian

I would almost say the reverse. OU is playing better on the road this year than at home. LOL

it is very possible that if KSU stays at #1 (giving the fiesta bowl 1st choice) that they select Notre Dame and OU goes to the Rose bowl

Or... are they just playing better teams at home than on the road.

West Virginia can't buy a win from a burning couch (something I heard they do when they win)...

They're lucky they even beat Baylor. If they beat OU then the world is truly upside down. OU is playing some of their best ball right now. As for my boys, I don't see us getting a victory in Norman. I predicted we'd win 7 or 8 game this year. I'm on track.

Oklahoma State beat the crap out of Texas Tech 59-21, it reminds me of the Sooners 65-21 beating years ago

Pretty close. How often do you see two blocked punts in the same game?

    Not very often!

West Virginia has the worst pass defense in the country - the worst! Why is OU running the ball? Jones should have 85 passing attempts tonight!!!!

Sooners rushing defense is so embarrassing!

    What rushing defense? :-P

Edit: Or any defense for that matter.

Oklahoma's defense is probably one of the worst tackling defenses I've ever seen. If you're going to school to play football, you should know how to wrap up a ball carrier.

  22. Default Re: Big 12 Midseason Observations

Well KSU is done. OU is not in a good place right now.

OU squeaked that one out, but K-State reverted to 1998 K-State.

I was wrong about the Sooners losing to West Virginia but I was very close!
