Urban is right on target, however, I still find it strange that nobody brought up the fact that two graduations were going on at the Cox Center that day/night and alot of the participants and attendees hung around that night because of the event.

It's simple. The shooting happened because there are people in society that don't know how to behave.
Plutonic should get brownie points.
I recently checked with someone familiar with the scope of work on the construction contract and the sign shown in all the renderings that went from Ford to Chesapeake, was not included as originally shown during design and the naming rights. It was not in the contract at all, so it's unclear as to if or what will happen in regards to that. I would bet Ches and the City are working something out. Also, you can see in the renderings that that vertical entry element was somewhat reduced in scale. Apparently the team wanted to cut cost from the original design and use some of the money savings for revenue producing areas, thus they reduced the volume of the space and shrunk that entry element. Apparently the team and city are now in the process of reworking all of the floor plans of the teams offices from the initial layout.
It is probably just the revenue generating areas were cut back less, they only had 85% of the projected budget to work with. There was also going to be a practice court over the loading dock that was scraped entirely, apparently their was some revisions on the training facility near Briton road as well.you can see in the renderings that that vertical entry element was somewhat reduced in scale. Just drove by the arena and they had the lights around the top of the building rotating between red and green...I know there was once a question if they could only be blue or other colors. Guess this answers that question.

Well, glad you weren't but the sentence did look like it. Sorry, I forgot to put an lol after all that. SINCERELY
Have to say walking downtown and typing on phone is just as bad as driving though. So much to look going on to look at while trying to use phone leads to bad sentences like that one.
I laugh in bad taste at that^^
The green and red are pretty. We were up the other night and enjoyed lights in several locations in or near DT after having dinner in the south metro.
Well, one thing I enjoy is News9. They will show a true live shot from their actual cam on the actual Sandridge Building looking south toward the new I-40 and it showed the lighting of the arena on the weathercast last night. KFOR has nice shots but a lot of them are repeat shots from warm summer nights.
Its time for a birds eye view pic of the progress going on around this arena
Don't misjudge what I'm saying. KFOR does have the BEST shots, yes, yet they're not always current shots, while News9 has a cam on top of the Sandridge Building and if they show that shot, it is as current as the newscast is live--just not as clear as KFOR's HD shots.
Better?
Is this true ? I hear them say 'great shot from the SandRidge cam', but it looks like a shot from their broadcast tower. As in the SandRidge part is just a sponsoship for advertising. Unless I'm missing something, I've never seen a cam with closeups of the buildings other than from a helicopter.
If you go to News9's page, they have various cams set up around the state. Their "Sandridge Cam" is, yes, on their antenna tower but they also have a cam perched high in downtown OKC. I believe it to be on the Sandridge tower because you can see City Place and First National tower in the shot along with the arena directly to the south.
Overall I like the Peake but hate the fact that WiFi doesn't work in the arena.
Plus they need more beer variety instead of the usual Bud/Bud Light/Coors Light/Miller Lite. They need to add Coors Original, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Miller High Life etc.
How about some great local/Oklahoma brews like COOP, Marshall, Redbud, Choc and Mustang once Mustang starts brewing a significant amount of their beer in Oklahoma as recently announced? That puts Oklahomans to work, and some of those beers are great brews in their own right.
