Thanks Pete! Can't wait to see that same view once the boulevard, park and cc-hotel are completed!

I heard today that somebody shot a bullet through the new glass and it continued in and hit one of the video boards. Grrrrrrrrr

We don't have multiple Fortune 500 companies in our city as potential sponsors. And yet, we have to pay our players on the same scale as the major markets. So, our owners risk operating in the red every year just to keep a competitive team. I think, as a small market, we have to subsidize our team more than a bigger market if we want to have one.
You make a good point, betts, however people repeatedly make the mistake of forgetting that Oklahoma City is a growing market. What will our market size be by 2020? 2030? Granted, San Antonio is still considered a small market despite the fact that Sam Antonio is larger than OKC, however things do change. I have a feeling there will be a spike in population growth at some point this decade. It may not be rapid growth, but it will be growth in record numbers. We can't be a "tiny market" forever, as one publication put it.
    Continue the Renaissance!!!

It depends on what size we are relative to other NBA markets. If they all grow at the same rate as we do, the bigger markets will continue to have more financial advantages. But there's a cluster of small markets we'd have to leapfrog by quite a bit to be perceived differently.

OK so is anyone else as weirded out as me that there isn't a highway there now?

I think it looks even odder in Bricktown, where the Cotton Gin now looks like it's a part of LBT. Actually it's good because it adds some interest to the skyline there.

The remaining portion of the elevated highway takes away from the entrance, imho

all your troubles seemed so far away?

That's looking really slick. Some of the recent shots had me a bit concerned. But I guess with the final finishing touches, it's going to look good afterall.

    The 3rd pic.

I thought the reflection of the hand in the window was actually a gigantic orange arm sculpture in the Arena's entrance, haha.
