This photo also shows what an incredible waste of opportunity Lower Bricktown turned out to be. Hogan is an idiot.

    dude, you're killing my fantasy!

I do like the hologram idea, though. Ever read Clarke's 'The City And The Stars'?

It doesn't have to forever be that way...change can happen.

I wouldn't call him an idiot either. He's methodical, not speedy, and he's been slow to finance due to his smaller portfolio. Could someone have done better? Maybe, but at least he's maintained occupancy for the most part and he's a big proponent of on-street parking on Reno and other things that are good for Bricktown.

    Anyway, back to Devon.

Other than a couple of brick warehouses and the Santa Fe, I think the mill is about the most interesting thing in that picture

Well, I stand by my statement that Hogan left us with a monumental disappointment, but idiot was uncalled for. But there's not a doubt in my mind that someone else would have been better.

Nothing special...I wish I had some free time at a better time of day and/or there were clouds in the sky.

Anyway...Had a few minutes today, so I stopped and took a few pictures.

very nice shots, OGTS! especially the second one -- it has a kind of "mythical" feel to it

I think the plan is to pump acid into the moat when the tower comes under siege.

Peraonally, I think sharks with lazer beams attached to their heads is a more effective deterrent.

Another highrise, preferably on the old Cox Convention Center site (wishful thinking) would do wonders for that shot! :-)

Haven't been on this forum in a long time or read through this thread. I'm not sure if Steve has given an update on the official Devon Tower book. He brought an early copy at the RetroMetroOKC meeting this past Monday and gave everyone a sneak peek. It's a beautifully put together hard cover book that is large and has lot of photos and goes into great detail. About six of my photos made it into the book and I and others even got an honorable mention. I know there will be a book signing possibly next month. I would have to refer to Steve to give the details.

I'm thinking of hitting the streets again since the Skydance Bridge opened on my vacation next month. I don't know the extent of what I'll do but my Flickr needs some updating.
