    Thumbs down The Breakup

I saw this one tonight at the bricktown Harkins theater.

I have to say that, although I enjoyed some portions of it, for the most part it wasn't that good. Vaughn and Anniston just don't seem to "fit" together well - zero chemistry. The whole movie I was thinking "why is she with this guy?". Ironic, since they are rumored to be together IRL.

I didn't like it, not because it's a "chick-flick", but rather because most of the movie is them two arguing. Aside from a few zingers from vaughn, most of the fighting is boring too. It just gets tiring after a while.

I give it a 5/10, wait for the DVD rental.

I had heard the same.. I was really looking forward to seeing it! Oh well. Poor Jennifer, she needs to have some successful movies in her life.

Can you even imagine getting dumped by the world's sexiest man for the world's sexiest woman and then watching them have a child together along with the rest of the world?

I guess it would have made it worse if he dumped her for a really unattractive women.. at least with Angelina Jolie, she is beautiful and probably pretty irrestible. There really wasn't a chance if she went after him. He's still a shmuck along with Tom Cruise. Notice how a lot of men celebrities trade in their wives for younger more attractive women?

At least the women have millions of dollars to console themselves!

Well, Anniston's no slouch in the looks department either. I haven't kept up with their personal lives, but I would imagine that if he left her it was for personality issues rather than looks. Looks can only take you so far. If you can't stand to be around each other it doesn't matter how good you look.

Yeah, I'm disappointed that this movie wasn't better than it was. Both lead characters were well-played and some of the supporting cast was great, but its tough to overcome a poor story with good acting.
