Route 66 Park opens soon

OKC's second new municipal park in over 20 years will be opening next week. Route 66 Park at 9901 NW 23rd will officially open next week. It's located right next to lake Overholser. The grand opening will be on May 27th at 6:30am and will include a 5 and 10k run. The amenities of this park are very very impressive compared to area parks. A ribbon-cutting ceremony wlil be held prior to the grand opening on May 23rd at 2pm. It's truly amazing, plans for several fishing ponds, an outdoor chess/checkers area, several skateparks, bmx trails and park, rock climbing wall, tennis courts, basketball courts, oklahoma's largest playground, and much more.
