Yes, even after that south entrance and park opens, the construction to the east will continue.
It will take a couple more months to finish the Colcord connection, the outdoor patio for Flint and the landscaped area between the two buildings.
Had drinks at Flint on Tuesday. Bar is really cool. It extends west through the glass to the outside patio. Neat effect. Looks like the patio at Flint will be really nice. Bartender told us their liquor license covers the whole property, so they can do anything anywhere on the Devon grounds.
We booked the banquet facility that is basically the second floor of the Devon/Colcord connector for our firm holiday dinner. Should be a cool view out over the MG with all the trees lit up for the season.
Looking west:
Attended a wedding reception Saturday night (5/26/12) at the Colcord and it was in the Devon Tower/Colcord connection. I was told it was the very first event to be held there (don't know if that's true or not). The inside is a rather unremarkable ballroom like in any hotel so I didn't really take any pics, but here are some pics from the balcony.
Thanks Kayne and shawn!
Wow, I had no idea those Colcord ballrooms were open yet. Looks like they are just a few weeks out on finishing the Colcord patio and adjoining park.
Still wanna know why the Devon tower isn't up on Google earth 3D yet
A couple of photos I took today and messed around with.
That last photo is impressive. Thanks!
You're welcome ;-) I rather like it because it's pure white behind the tower, yet the tower reflects a blue sky and mirrored clouds. Like I said, I messed with the colors of the original photo but I think it turned out pretty neat.
Cam is stuck!
Cam is still stuck!!!
Ate breakfast at Nebu this morning. South entrance and terrace now open. Patio in front of Colcord connector/Flint still under construction.
Urban Pioneer just sent me dozens of fantastic photos of the Devon park and grounds.
I'll have them posted soon but here's a sneak peek... Everything looks absolutely world class IMO:
Wow, this all looks super, super sharp!
wow!
