Well, Im calling it: Spurs will win the championship this year. Thunder won't even be a speedbump apparently.
Yeah I am not sure OKC can recover. We would need to win back to back twice to have a chance.
The Spurs are just better than the Thunder. Here's hoping for next year!
Ran into a great team is all....Regardless of the rest of the series it has been another great year and highly enjoyable
Even though the Spurs are going to win the series, I hope we can win at least 2 here in Oklahoma City, It would so good ending their win streak
Spurs looked like the Globetrotters in the 3rd Q. Haven't seen something like that in a while...
We really need inside scoring to get to the next level. Our reliance on outside shots willl not carry us to a championship. This has been another great year in preparation for a possible title run in about 2 years, but the Thunder who have so far stood pat before the trading deadline need to be more like SA in adding pieces to complete the team to make a title run. Maybe youth does have to pay its due, sure seems so.
For you Perkins fans, take a long look because I don't think he will be around next season. That guy couldn't throw a basketball in the water if he was sitting in a boat.
Perkins is not an offensive player, Presti simply brought him in to stop the Lakers, so he earned his paycheck last series. The Spurs are a different animal, with T.Parker and Ginobli. Last night, KD, Harden, and Westbrook went for 31pts, 30pts, and 27pts, and we still lost, we are not beating the Spurs, point blank.
The Spurs have proven the past 38 games that they are the best team in the NBA right now. The Thunder will be better next year with Maynor healthy and hopefully someone added as an inside scorer.
I'm sure a lot people feel this way but low key theres probably nothing more frustrating for us Thunder fans than seeing a Texas team beat us like the Spurs are doing, knowing that their fan base consists of mostly Longhorn fans lol.
Perkins isn't going anywhere. He is here strictly to play defense. He could never score a point and be doing what he was signed to do which is mess up the other teams offense. A job which he usually does very well.
Maybe so but he can't be pinning the ball to the bottom of the rim while trying do a layup.
Apparently it is quite possible to do all those things, based on the available evidence.
Missing dunks aren't good either, but they both score in the 30s on a regular basis. What we give away on offense with Perkins isn't being made up for on defense, and that is a huge problem. I'll bet he plays less than 12 minutes tonight because Brooks is figuring that out.
Perk was very valuable in the first two rounds but a liability against the Spurs...Spurs are just in a class by themselves unfortunately but 2nd best in the tough West ain't bad at all
Despite my differences with Mary Fallin, I love how she quickly said to Ernie Johnson that Oklahoma City is #2 in Job creation and #1 in lowest unemployment =)
Cool shot:
Still undefeated at home during the playoffs!
