The pink is chemicals running through the freezer tubes, it's only temporary.

Didn't feel like re-reading all this, but I just noticed that Google Maps updated their images. You can see the roof of Devon Tower and the Myriad Gardens looks so much different. Looks a lot better if you use Google Earth.

Are they still putting lights out there or is that all we will have this year? Are they going all LED or not? It looks like some lights was not LED, I dunno, I was driving by on the west side after leaving from the OU ER Saturday night.

The MBG Wiki page photo needs an update. I would do it if I knew how.

    This is the current photo:

    Here is a suggestion:

and maybe throw in a picture of the water feature somewhere.

I'm always surprised cities and organizations don't spend more time updating Wikipedia. It's one of the most common ways people will learn about your city/organization. It's basically free advertising...

I'm surprised people think this way and expect the city leaders to do all the work. Wiki is open to everyone and yes, everyone is responsible to update.

Diggyba, the first picture is fine. Leave it until our current landscape grow in a few years. We don't want bare appearance on the Wiki just yet.

Rule #1 of Wikipedia, your not allowed to update your own page.

Surely that's not a real rule. If it's broken regularly.

You can not make it your own personal PR page, but you could at least have some people keep things up to date with verifiable information.

Not to derail the thread but several towns, companies, universities, etc hire professionals to recreate their facilites in Google Earth 3D. Check out the University of Colorado and OSU vs OU as an example.

Enjoyed downtown last night for the first time in a while, I pass by downtown daily, but never have time to interact with it. My family and I went to Thunder game last night, but we enjoyed other amenities and leisure activities before the game. We enjoyed Bricktown, Myriad Gardens, and the Arts Festival. But what stood out most was Myriad Gardens, WOW!.

Seeing all the new renovations is one thing, but experiencing and seeing other people interact with the new Myriad Gardens was simply unbelievable. Many people were in Myriad Gardens just simply enjoying life, watching plays, walking, talking, playing with kids, just everyday leisure all wrapped up in one. It was very nice to see all the people downtown between the Arts Festival, Thunder game, and downtown workers.

I could also see how a new tower located at the Preftake's block or the Stage Center would provide even more of a urban dominance and experience in that area, it would greatly enhance the area.

The negatives: too much road work going on, and minimal walkability. The Cox Center is also a negative, it just seems in the way, takes up too much space, a barrier.

I would hope they would at least demolish the Cox convention center or at least the older 3/4ths of it.

If The City is smart, they'll keep the Cox Center there until about 15-20 years from now and then demolish it to make way for the next Thunder arena.

Any plans for more events in the Myriad Gardens during the Finals? It would be a wasted opportunity not to show off the park with live concerts when the finals are in town...

The city is probably afraid of gunfire.

Well, I just saw that they're showing "Space Jam" on the great lawn at the Myriad Gardens at 9pm on Wednesday. It's good to hear that they're doing something, but why not show "Kazaam?"

Cool! I was literally thinking the other day I needed to reacquaint myself with that movie, which did play a vital role in my childhood looking back. I will definitely be there.
