I don't think many locals realize how admired and respected our quirky little local band is considered around the world as shown in this event in England.

They've been working on this for years. I think they became acquainted with Des McAnuff through Pete Townshend, if I recall correctly. It isn't mentioned in those stories, but McAnuff adapted Tommy for Broadway. I do know they discussed the idea of a Broadway adaptation with Townshend, who was enthusiastic about it.
