Im taking my GF here tomorrow for Valentines Day. This place better be good!
fsusurfer, you should be impressed. if your not it's your own fault. make sure and use the valet parking. you might want to call the chef Christine Dowd or someone else ahead of time and remind them how "special" it is so they can accomodate you even better! Your girlfriend will thank you and you can thank me later
Has anyone eaten here? If so, what did you choose and did you like it? I am going on Saturday evening and have been looking at the online menu that they have. I ate here last year and had the Pappardelle Bolognese which I enjoyed, but this time would like to try something else.
Last time I was there I had the Mezzaluna. Very good! I've also had the Chicken Parmesan and a couple of the pizzas.
I can't remember what I had last time I was there. I'm overdue for a visit. The decor/ambiance is great and Christine Dowd is one of the finest chefs in OKC. This place is under-rated/ under-patronized and downtown OKC needs more places like this and Red Prime.
I like this restaurant very much. And remember it is open for lunch as well for all of you who work downtown. I took someone from Detroit there last week and he was very impressed that we had restaurants like this downtown. Apparently one does not go to downtown Detroit at night.
I have also had lunch several times at Trattoria - beautiful display and plating and the food is very well prepared. The service for the most part was good, but it's not exactly a "quick lunch" type of place.
My wife and I fully enjoyed our meal there. The decor is very cool too!
We usually have a bite at the bar. The arugula pizza and a couple glasses of nicely chilled Pinot Grigio were our choices one evening last week. Good food . . . good service . . . reasonable prices. I was very disappointed with the restaurant in its early days . . . lack luster service and way too salty food, but it seems to me that they have made steady progress on all fronts. It's not a usual choice of mine for dinner, so I can't comment on that aspect.

I've been to Trattoria's a few times. The atmosphere is great, but the food isn't that good. I've gotten a variety of their dishes, hoping that they'll be good, but they just aren't.
March 31st will be the last day to eat at TiC. Project 180 kinda killed the restaurant. Really unfortunate and unnecessary loss.
It looked to be on life support prior to P180. I've eaten there several times. It was always blah to decent and I've literally never seen the place more than 1/4 full. Its a regular place for us before events at the Civic Center, due to its location, and for lunch on rare occasions. Neat place inside, just never seemed to take root IMO. Owners may blame it on P180, but I think that's just an excuse.
I never had good food there, it was always too salty and not good for the quality.
Always sad to see someones business close, However I don't think p180 was all of the problems they had. I am sure it affected business but prior to it was not that busy and the food not the best. I was excited about it when it opened but each time I ate there I was less than impressed. I hope they have better luck in a future business.
I only ate there one time, and while the experience was not incredible, I thought it warranted future visits.
I ate there a few times a year, and think it slowly went downhill over time. Ultimately I liked the menu more than the food, but it will still be a loss. I hope we'll get a new restaurant in its place.
Wow, what a bummer.
Hopefully another operator will give it a try at that location and have more success. It really is nice space.
And I just read in The Gazette that Trattoria il Centro was revamping its menu to include Lobster Ravioli . . .
Dang.
Maybe a developer made them an offer they couldn't refuse.
