Yeah, it's actually the permanent lights are yellow-ish and the construction lights are more white.

Looks like they have 37 floors now with permanent lighting, which means those floors are largely finished.

vice versa - white are where they are working. I get into office at 5 AM daily and they already have crews in - wonder if they are still doing 24/7?

They've been running various LED colors, but not more than one color at a time. I did get a couple of pics the other morning - not very good with IPhone, but I'll try and upload them soon.

They have been working pretty hard getting ready for the opening. They have been staying pretty late and working weekends finishing out the building.

There is a video interview with Larry Nichols if you follow the link and in it he says the executive team moves in next week but into temporary space until they get their floor ready. Pretty sure the top brass will be on the 47th floor, which is the only extra tall one other than the restaurant and banquet space and then the mechanical floor above them. Remember, there is no 48th floor.

Devon begins move into new building
Devon Energy Corp. began moving boxes into its new downtown headquarters on Friday. The first group of about 80 employees will report to work there Monday.

My guess is that not all the floors will be immediately occupied, since they wanted room for growth.

So, they are probably completely finishing where people will be moving in right away, then will come back and do the remainder.

I would also think they would leave empty floors scattered throughout the building so various departments could expand in the future but stay contiguous.

And finally, rather than having floors partially occupied, to save on energy I'm sure they'll want to fill one completely before opening another.

Maybe that's the floor for the habitually tardy and/or grumpy?

Schindler had their material for the high rise elevators staged on the 25th floor. Once the elevators are completely built that floor will be finished.

    A continued positive for OKC.

The arrival of Devon Energy Center is also seen a big step forward in solidifying Oklahoma City's standing in the energy industry. The Tulsa World recently surveyed 16 industry executives and analysts from across the country and asked them to rank the top oil capitals of North America. Oklahoma City was ranked third behind Calgary and Houston.

That's very cool PR for OKC.

This was interesting regarding SandRidge; I know they will soon have a bunch more space when the Braniff Building is done but at this rate their new tower may have to be of decent size:

The company has grown so quickly that it is already filling up the 29-story tower at 123 Robert S. Kerr Ave. and recently leased two floors at Beffort's City Place Tower.

Pete, in an earlier press release Sandridge stated that the new tower would have a larger footprint, so the building might end up a bit smaller or could end up about the same size as their present tower.
