For those who might be wondering what the capabilities of the lighting on the tower might be, it won't be this elaborate (and I'm not sure we want something like this) but it shows what can be done.
Perhaps the Devon tower can "broadcast" a few Thunder games...or at least be a scoreboard during the playoffs.
if you haven't seen the new OMNI in dallas it is amazing.. they run GO MAVS across it during games.. its awesome.
Everyone is going to get their wish. Couldn't resist going down there a while ago...
Get that Flickr uploader cranking Will!
Thanks so much for doing this.
One more week until we can start including interior shots....

Yeppers, a sure sign you're young, married and have kids is you start talking to yourself.Originally Posted by metro
Yeah but I'm married and have kids, so it makes it even harder.
Been there, done that, though not usually in written form.

Editing takes forever. I don't know if it will be tonight.

True story. While I was taking those last shots with the fountain and robins in the foreground, this dude dressed in black high heels and a black dress was strolling down Robinson with another person (girl? boy?) around his arm. When they got next to the fountain, he started flinging his arms and accidentally threw his wig in the water and had to crawl in and pick it out. All the while laughing hysterically. I was so tempted to take a photo but didn't. Somehow I was able to mind my business and try and not notice. Can't make this stuff up.
DUDE!!! You should have! That would have been karma gold on reddit!!! LOL. Ohh well. The mental image is good enough I suppose.
You won't see that in Edmond!
Thanks very, very much Will for all these photos. They have come a very long way in just a week and only have one week left before they are open for business. I know construction will continue for about another six months but I'm sure their goal is to have the rotunda, lobby and main north and south entrances relatively complete.
Next week at this time we will probably have people down there taking photos of the inside.
Pete, from the looks of the recent ground work, are you sure they are ready to move in next week?, Would'nt it be difficult for employees to have access to the main entrance?
The employees will be coming in from the parking garage and it has a direct link to the lobby.
Still, I bet they have both main exterior entrances largely complete.
Saw one lone worker on the very top for several hours this afternoon. I don't know what he was doing though.
Wow, vertigo city....
Looks like they are still finishing up the panels on the backside of the crown.
The whole tower with the guy still working on the top taken from the old Crosstown.
This has become my favorite panoramic view of OKC. One thing that would make it better would be to have a train, but I wasn’t able to capture one today, but I think the best thing would be to have an Amtrak at the station, so I guess that means an early morning visit to downtown.
Orange LED lighting hopefully
