Yep, it's really gross. I don't eat fast food burgers anymore and the only hamburger meat I buy is at high end grocers because of this. It's amazing, you can taste the difference.

Americans did this on their own when they decided the big blue box was the only place in town to buy everything. Now they are slowly returning to the old days of hometown markets where you know the guy behind the counter. The hometown grocer was and still is the best place to spend your money even if it means paying a few dollars more. He needs your repeat business and word of mouth to keep his doors open.

I miss the days where every other grocery store was in local or state hands. Not a global corporation that spends most of their money in China.
