Oh I just hate when we have to go a number of days without any pictures of the construction site. :-(

I don't have any pictures but I drove by on I-40 today about 5:10 and the reflection from the sun on Devon made it seem even more massive than normal. I had to try extra hard not to look at it because I was driving.

It is definately a challenge. LOL I glance over at it a lot unless traffic is bad (I know, I'm going to hell for glancing period, lol).

Lol when im on i-40 in the passengers seat, my eyes stay glued to the skyline so with the new i-40 further blocks away, it should'nt be so hard to focus lol

I've run into the same issue before... and ended up throwing a roll of TP (luckily there were two in the stall) over the stall and hoped that it would activate the sensor... it did, thank goodness

Cooper, I own a retail store that sells post cards of Oklahoma City, among other things. One of my sales reps was by and I mentioned to her that her company needed to update any cards that incorporate skyline shots. I showed her your photos and she was blown away, like most of us on here. Can a company like that license some of your shots?

Thanks for showing her my work and I'm always willing to discuss any type of licensing agreement.

please also talk to the OKC Chamber AND the NBA/Broadcasters!!!!!

your pics are 'sick' (the GOOD sick), and really show the dynamic side of downtown. I hope we could use YOUR works until OKC works on the streetlevel dynamics a bit more. ....
    Oklahoma City, the RENAISSANCE CITY!

I've been reading a lot on LEED lately and began to wonder if Devon was trying to achieve LEED certification. I could have guessed they were but I had not seen an official report that they were and still haven't but I trust what you say since you post facts plus you have your connections.

The presentation they gave OCURA when they announced plans to build included statements that they would be working to achieve LEED certification. I know there are various levels, and I'm not sure which level they were pursuing, but they definitely listed that as a priority during construction.

Here's a link to information on the Devon Tower development on the Hines website. Hines is development manager for the project. The page mentions the LEED intentions.

I didn't know about the Devon Tower until it started going vertical so that's why I had no clue about the LEED certification. I actually stumbled across a website that was comparing Oklahoma City to Jacksonville and listed all the pros and cons of both cities and the Devon Tower was the first pro listed for Oklahoma City and then I started searching "new building in Oklahoma City" and "Devon Tower in Oklahoma City" and surprisingly that's how I found OKCTalk. Amazing how much more knowledgeable I am about Oklahoma City now.

Thank you, Urbanized. Like I said, I had no clue about this so it's like finding out I forgot to open one of my Christmas presents about a week after Christmas.

This is an interesting panoramic perspective of downtown and Bricktown.

Our skyline is looking better but, we still have a ways to go .

It's unfortunate that that perspective will be unavailable in less than a year...
