Pets & People in Yukon would be a good option as well.
I often see groups of that size at both the Regional Food Bank (indoors) and Habitat for Humanity (outside usually).
Ok Regional Food Bank and OK Beautiful are the two we use most frequently for groups that size.
I would suggest calling Oklahoma County Commissioner Brian Maughan's office. They have a program designed to help students and recognize them upon graduation for their volunteer service. It allows the students to graduate with an honor chord and certificate. It is a great program....Students for SHiNE.
405.713.1502 is his office number. Ask for Myles...
I also recommend the Food Bank. We have some groups that go there and they really appreciate the help. With that many people, you could do a lot of good work!
Still corrupting young minds
Contact the Oklahoma National Guard Family Programs office - with the 45th BCT returning home, there may be some opportunities to assist with homecoming events.
I love and have volunteered and most of the orgs listed. You should also check out the org I am an Americorps member at Rebuilding Together We repair homes for low-income seniors/vets/disabled to try and keep them in their communities. We create projects based on the group's skill level. Check out the website if interested.
Please check with the Christmas Connection. They are in great need of volunteers and can also, use highschool kids.
