I added a pic I took today. Did some editing work on it and removed the construction windows. I'm adding a black and white series later. http://iconoklahoma.blogspot.com/201...ter-tower.html

Admiring Devon Tower from Afar
Here's some from yesterday. You could call these "Lost Highway" or something like that. Totally bizarre walking on an abandoned highway.
It almost looks like the apocalypse has occurred. It's just eerie seeing the old crosstown empty like that. Great pictures, Will.
Cool pics, very post apocalyptic feeling. Shouldn't these go I the I-40 thread? Also, in today's Oklahoman, there are more interior pics of Devon restaurant and not just renderings.
Does it matter? Put them in both. See there you go. How many pages back is that? Not finding it.
It's in the transportation section.
It was strange enough seeing the eastbound lane vacant when we came through with the moving truck earlier this month.
It reminds me of some of the pics taken after the evacuation but right before hurricane Ike hit near Houston. It was eerie seeing highways and Downtown Houston almost completely vacant.
I deleted a ton of posts that have nothing to do with Devon Tower.
Please stay on subject.
Thanks Pete.

LOVE this shot!
The juxtaposition of this photo is very telling of OKC's past and future.
Will - great shots! I really like the one that frames Devon bldg with chain link fence!
We're so lucky to have many talented photographers on this forum are are able to take the time and have the eye!
Thanks for the pics, Will. You have definitely covered some territory to find the interesting angles.
I never noticed until now how the inverted triangles of the crown actually recess in at the bottom. I always thought the glass was flush all over.
I thought it was flush too, judging from the renderings. It still looks great, though.I never noticed until now how the inverted triangles of the crown actually recess in at the bottom. I always thought the glass was flush all over.
Are those lights on in the Chase building or window shades?
I believe those are windows that have been tinted with film reflecting light back.
CD
over 24 hours of no Devon updates? Did I miss something?? :-(
