Then the preseason got cancelled a couple of months later.......and they had one less event to see.
I had just moved from downtown OKC to downtown Wichita and was pumped for that game... Stupid lockout.

Pete (or whoever positively knows), I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but I'm asking for clarification; are the LED's going to go all the way up the side of the tower or will they only be at the bottom where they've been testing them?

None of us have ALL the exacts (Devon hasn't made the info public), but they will run the entire length of the recessed portion and the entire triangular crowns will have TONS of LEDS everywhere.

Thanks, metro. I knew about the crown but wasn't certain about the recessed portion.

I hope this answers the questions on the LED lighting. These are from the architects website combined into a animation file to show the difference between day and night.

We have seen them test sections but will each pane be capable of independent colors?

Did anyone on here know that Japan constructed a 30 story hotel building in 15 days. How did they do that and could the Devon tower could have been done in a similiar way say about 50 stories in 60 days?

I wish we could use the image on the OKC Chamber website for our banner!

It is already here. I have worked with contractors who pre build and assemble on site. More speed and less mistakes. But requires full 3d modeling with all engineering. Not all suppliers here provide proper digital drawings to make all this easy.

Taking advantage of Cooper_GOIVM's photo and crane removal skills, thought I'd throw a guess out there as to what the LEDs might sorta look like when lit.
Are there LEDs on the inside of the crown? I'm guessing there are.

Someone with better compositing skills than I could make it far more realistic.

It does. Metro gave me my answer but this help me - and others - visualize it better.

I've posted this before, but the Duke Energy Center in Charlotte is pretty close to what we are likely to see from Devon Tower:

They still have a lot of work to do as only one of the triangles has back panels and another has zero front or back.

They need the cranes to complete all that work but the cranes almost certainly have to come down before they can start moving people in.

I'm beginning to wonder if they are going to make their previously-announced March date... That's only a month or two away.

First National looks like a church from that distance.

I was downtown last night and they were heavily testing the LED's in all 3 recessed areas. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera.

On the North side they had almost every single segment lit up from the ground up to the floor where the permanent interior lights have been installed. They were also flashing individual lines and segments on and off.
