Thread: Internet

  1. Exclamation Internet

Craigslist have a message for us all.

    http://www.craigslist.org/about/SOPA

After some clicking, I discovered a shocking planned blackout happening on the 18th of this month. Something about widespread shutdown to protest the government. No one is talking about it on here, so I think ya'all should look into this and figure out what is going on.

HR 3261 (SOPA) and S 968 (PIPA) Internet Blacklist Bills

Btw, I was watching something about Bill Gates and Microsoft. The lady, Janet Reno, sued Gates and Microsoft for their attempt to overtake the Internet (when they went at war against Netscape, etc). Janet Reno complained that Microsoft wasn't giving consumers the freedom of choice (such as browser to use, etc) on the Internet. The government won the lawsuit (and the court system is the government.......). So, if I am understanding this latest acts by the government, they are doing the same thing to us, the consumers, that they accused Microsoft of doing. Amirite?

While SOPA and PIPA are complete abortions of legislation in my opinion, your arguments make less sense than Nic Cage's hair.

Wikipedia is doing a 24-hour blackout that started last night at about 11:00-central time and Google's name above their search engine is covered up by a black rectangle as well, but you can still search things.

Oh of course, that's how I got the above link, by clicking on the censored out Google logo. Concrete information that is documented on okctalk.com ;-)
